Dimmers are always recommended if you are having multiple strings as the festoon string can become bright if you have a lot in one area. This dimmer can control four 20m or eight 10m strings at a time.
This dimmer can only be used with the Vintage Style Festoon Lights or the Festoon Pendant Lights
